A hanging basket with handspun stainless steel dish

In stock

    Description

Roger is always trying to solve problems, so he has put his thinking cap on and designed a hanging basket/bird feeder for cold climate gardens. This design features a handspun stainless steel dish that will not crack from frost/ice. Because it is made from stainless steel, the dish is also less prone to damage and rust from fertilisers and hard water. The dish is not removable but can be easily cleaned if used for bird feeding. Since the dish is welded into the basket frame there is also no chance of the dish blowing out during high winds.

We made a small batch especially for the Crookwell Garden Festival in the Upper Lachlan Shire of NSW, where ice can be problem over winter. And so we named it the Lachlan.

The Lachlan also features a unique double bend design similar to the Gum Nut feeder. Each feeder has a beautiful rusty patina that will continue to grow over time (except on the stainless dish). Made from 100% Australian steel that will last a lifetime.

Not sure how to hang it? You can pair it with an S hook or Wall mount so that it will be easy to hang from a sturdy tree branch, wall or post.

    Dimensions: 360mm (w) x 480mm (h – including ring). Stainless steel dish is approx 200mm in diameter.

Shipping & Handling: Included. Posted nationwide via Australia Post. Please allow 5-7 working days for delivery.

Please note: all our pieces are hand crafted and rusted via the natural elements and therefore unique. Because of this there will be slight variations in size/colour from those listed or shown.
